Configurability and Flexibility

The Badge Tracker System will be designed to be as configurable and flexible as possible. It must handle a wide variety of occurrences, such as customizable warnings and building configurations, and must be able to make either complete or incremental changes with as little time and effort as possible. And of course, since some parts will need to be configured by people who are not necessarily skilled at using computers, it must be easy to use. The following is a list of configurations and flexibilities that will be designed into the system:

• Read/write access to data controller given to privileged users
• Ability to set up system in any building size and shape, and with any population size (constrained by the availability of appropriate hardware)
• Ability to add/remove and activate/deactivate individual sensors and/or badges
• Information can be added to badges as required
• Badges can be reassigned to new users
• User Information (privileges, schedules, etc.) may be created and edited based on Interface specifications
