Possible Development Issues

It is possible that some issues may arise that may prevent or at least stall the successful deployment of the entire system. These issues may simply require a larger time and/or money investment by either the designers or the clients, or they may be more fundamental, perhaps preventing the initiation of the system by increasing the necessary budget beyond what the client is able to provide. Some of these issues are as follows:

  • Client location structures have unforeseen dead areas, where building materials used in the structure block radio signals
  • Cost of hardware unexpectedly increases to a point that exceeds client's budget
  • Battery life proves too short when using badges for real-time tracking of students and staff
  • Sensors prove to be too inaccurate due to interference from client environment
  • Client's network is not sufficient for the project's needs and client is unable to upgrade the network to a usable level
  • Quantum computing renders all current encryption techniques obsolete
  • Nuclear Armageddon
